Unlike most other food tours in Vietnam, we steer clear of common dishes like Pho, Banh Xeo, Banh Mi and Spring Rolls. Instead we focus on lesser-known dishes that most blogs and tours overlook. A Vietnam food tour for the adventurous!
Our venues are situated far outside the tourist areas, where locals really love to eat. We also will not make you eat dog meat, bugs, organs, raw food or anything too weird. The tour includes unlimited food and drinks, and we can adjust the dishes for dietary preferences and offer child friendly dishes for families with young children.
When do you offer the XO Foodie Tour?
The XO Foodie Tour is only available in the evenings, when most street vendors open for business. We have worked with the same vendors for many years to ensure that the food we serve is healthy and hygienic!
How much food and drink is offered on the XO Foodie?
At least 10 to 12 entrees (including lots of seafood), vegetarian and vegan friendly options, dessert, drinks (beer, soft drinks, water and tea), generous portions, and a full flow of food as long as you keep eating!
Live like a local in Saigon in one amazing night!
The tour visits five popular districts beyond the typical tourist area and lasts about 4.5 hours, with two unique sightseeing stops (including Binh Tay Market) and three amazing food venues. The sightseeing stops give you time in between each food stop to rest your stomach so you can eat more!
The XO Foodie is not just a gastronomic tour, but a great way to see parts of the city that the majority of tourists do not get to see. While our tours may cost more, running them requires 3 to 4 times the investment compared to copycat tours.
How many people in a group?
Our maximum group size is 16 people. For guests that do not want to go in a group, we also offer a private tour option for an extra charge.

Frequently asked questions
Absolutely! We take vegans and vegetarians on our tours almost daily, and prior guests love the variety and quality of the dishes we provide! Our vegan and vegetarian guests will be provided just as much food or more than other guests on the tour. Please keep in mind that our group tours mix dietary preferences, so guests that are not vegan or vegetarian will be served dishes containing meat.
Watch the videoIf given prior notice, we can adjust the dishes on our tours to accommodate almost any food restriction, including gluten, nut and shellfish allergies. If you are allergic to fish however, we do not recommend booking our food tour, as most dishes in Vietnam are marinated with generous amounts of fish sauce. We also do not recommend booking a tour if you are allergic to MSG, as most Vietnamese dishes will contain MSG (including vegetarian dishes).

We only offer pickup service in Districts 1, 3, 4 and 5 (some exclusions apply). For guests staying outside of our pickup area, we kindly request that you meet us at the Saigon Opera House in District 1 for the start of your tour(s).
